How effectively do you use the BIG 5 in your farming operations

Are your farming operations truly focussed on the future? producers will have the unique opportunity to address the most important aspects in farming during the 16th Senwes Future Focus on 29 October 2019 at Nampo Park,

Hundreds of producers will once again flock to Nampo Park this year for Future Focus day. The theme of this year’s event is: Are the BIG 5 part of your farming operations?

In case you are wondering, we are not talking about game. There are 5 major aspects in your farming operations which determine your cost efficiency, productivity and profitability. These are your strategy, management information systems, resources, finances and partnerships.

Are you still using outdated farming methods? Are you struggling with financial planning or farming debt, while struggling to keep up with technological advancements? Do you get the best out of your equipment? Would you like to take your farming practices to the next level?

Do not miss the opportunity to attend this event. Jaco Minnaar, Chairman of Grain SA and Senwes director, will act as facilitator on this day. He will be  sharing the successes of other producers with you. Each of the success stories shared will be focused on one of the aspects relating to the BIG 5.

Jaco has been a producer on the farm Botesrust in the Hennenman area for two decades and has been involved with various organised agriculture control structures since 2000, which include various Agri SA policy committees. He has also been a member of the Executive Committee of Free State Agriculture since 2004 and part of the Grain SA management team for the past four years. He is also a director of Senwes, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Grain SA and the Remuneration and Risk Committees of Senwes. A farmer in the midst of organised agriculture.

The focus will be on how producers help other producers, farming methods and assistance which work for farmers, specifically focused on determining the business success of your farming operations. You cannot go wrong with decades' experience on your doorstep during this day.

Time will also be scheduled for a question and answer session, should you have issues of concern, which will be supplemented by interesting video demonstrations, compacted for your convenience. The who's who of agriculture will also be there - so use the time to network, to manage relationships and to address your personal issues. The day is yours to manage.

To top it all, Rev. Laurie Naude will open the day, popular artist Appel will be in action and you will be able to enjoy a spitbraai and something to drink. At only R100 it is affordable for all producers, their staff and business partners. The funds will be in aid of the different young farmer committees.

This day has been presented since 2004, in proud co-operation with Grain SA and the young farmer committees of Free State Agriculture and Agri NW and is a place where sustainable solutions for producers are sought.
