In the 2019 Harvest edition of Senwes Scenario, we focus on the ever popular Nampo Harvest Day, set to kick off on May 14. Senwes will be turning 110 on May 15 so this edition is also a celebratory one. The area focus falls squarely on Standerton where we zone-in on Senwes producer Edzard Biermann. We speak to, among others, Senwes Grainlink regional grain marketing consultant, Neil Kemp, who has been operating there since 2018.

The magazine is filled with insightful articles for the producer. Hinterland Animal Solution Manager, Phillip Lee, who reports on the challenges of wintering. Senwes Group Executive Manager: Innovation and Integrated Solutions, Martin van Zyl discusses food traceability along the value chain and Senwes Senior Agronomist and Agricultural Economist, Petrus van Staden and Boet van Zyl provide tips for the farmer on how to get through autumn and early winter with ease. We also have included on heat stress and beef production, mycotoxic risk in roughage and silage as well as the extension of the Senwes' “For the Farmers” campaign.

Look out for the delicious Coconut, Chocolate, Coffee Cake recipe. The aroma of coffee is in the air and we introduce you to Brüder Coffee Roastery which has recently set up home in the Senwes Head Office atrium.

We take a look at silo building programs over the years, showcasing some highlights and milestones from the past. We take you through all the action leading up to the Senwes Spinners cricket development program's 2019 final, which was jam-packed with action.

For these and many more interesting articles, look out for the next issue of Senwes Scenario that you, our valued customers, will receive in April. And if you haven't subscribed to this free bimonthly edition, please visit the scenario website.
