In the next Scenario

Senwes’ Christmas Tree Project celebrated its eleventh year anniversary, when they hosted The Christmas party for more than 600 beneficiaries from 10 organisations in Klerksdorp. May 15, 2019 marks Senwes’ 110th Birthay making it one of the most experienced agricultural companies in existence.

We are therefore kicking off the new year with the 110-year Senwes Expo, which takes place on 29 and 30 January at Nampo Park. In terms of innovation, we focus on Future Development in Agricultural Technology as well as Vertical Farming.

Then the spotlight is put on farm attacks with a special focus on the Agri SA congress with Senwes, NWK and OFM radio, which together handed over R345 000 to the Agri Securitas Trust Fund. Senwes also supports AgriSecurity where the annual NWK Agri Securitas Senwes Golf Day took place at Pecanwood Golf Estate.

In top producer news, we talk to Raymund de Villiers who recently captured the Hinterland National inter-breed Bulk Championship during the 2018 Alfa Expo at Parys. Another Senwes producer Gielie Nieuwoudt is the New RPO chairman in the Free State.

With Senwes celebrating 110 years, we also focus on the Hartbeesfontein Farmers Association who recently celebrated their 90th anniversary celebrations after their first Annual Meeting, which took place in 1928.

Technology also features strongly in the hunting section with: How can Technology improve my shooting? Other articles include the two-month grain market outlook and grain brokerage articles as well as our ever-popular articles of faith.
